This week we’ve been on several roofs repointing ridge tiles and refixing slipped slates with the knowledge that we are facing some of the wettest and stormiest weather for June in years.
The wet weather we are expecting
At Standish Property Maintenance we repoint many ridge tiles, brick walls, chimney stacks and paved driveways or patios to help rain runoff quickly and effectively. We can also repair or replace your guttering and waste water pipes which carry this waste water to the appropriate sewer.

We have started to build a working relationship with our village cricket club by volunteering our free time to help maintain the pitch and club house. Standish Cricket Club isn’t short of helpers or enthusiasm around the pavilion, but isn’t as affluent as it would like to be; so it embraces any sponsorship or voluntary aid they can get.
After trawling all the football, rugby, cricket, bowling and golf clubs in the Wigan and surrounding areas; volunteering my free time to help out and gain experience. The only response was from Paul Woodend at Standish Cricket Club which started “Thank you so much for your e-mail and may I say it give me great joy to read it, in today’s society it’s so good to see someone ‘having a go’.” This proved to be the beginnings of a great partnership.

This weekend, despite the weather Standish Property Maintenance are proud to be the Match Ball Sponsor for Standish Cricket Club for the home game against Elton on 23rd June that’s if the rain lets up!
